Just for fun, I decided to look back at my post from this date last year. Honestly, I was surprised at how different I feel now from how I felt about my birthday then. I don’t know if I was having a bad day or what…it’s a little embarrassing actually.
This year, while things are far from perfect in so many ways, I’m just grateful. Grateful for my wife, kids, family, job, and so much more. Things could always be better, but things could always be worse too.
Maybe I’m a little bit wiser, or maybe I’ve just learned to appreciate what I have a little more.
That doesn’t mean I’m happy all the time. Although, with the Eagles finally winning a Super Bowl last year, that helps a little (which reminds me, I still need to write about that someday).
Since I already wrote my goals for next year, I won’t dwell too much on that. I’m hoping and planning to write more, both here and in other places and ways. I’m still working on a long form music project which will probably take me another 10 years to complete. I’m still doing woodworking a year later and learning a lot, which is fun.
Time to get to work.
